ONE DAY PRIVATE HIKING DAY
general description
The program begins picking you up at your hotel in the morning. We will travel by car for less than 2 hours until we will arrive at the place where the hike starts.
It will a three-five hours hike, depending on the place and how quickly the group walks. We can visit Siecha Lagoon and (or) Chicaque Park. Each hone takes a complete day.
Generally, we will be having lunch in the middle of the hike in a beautiful place outdoors in the mountains.
Depending on the time we finish the hike, we can stop in a place to drink a coffee and some candy and develop greater integration between the group, and also get comments on the activity.
Although there is no exact time of return, we expect the group will be back in their hotels around 5 to 7 pm.
So please let us know the location(s) of your preference or if you prefer to put together different plants during your stay in Colombia.

Chicaque Nature Park is a misty forest of 300 acres with over 10 miles of nature trails. During your walk, you will see oaks natural forest, indigenous mountain forest, birds, and cristal water streams. We start the hike an altitude of 2500mts and go down around 800 mts. and we have to go up to come back.

you have to acclimatize at least 3 days in Bogota before to go to this tour

Siecha Lagoon is part of the Chingaza National park. The hike starts at an altitude of 2,900 meters and we go up until 3,600 meters. To do not have problems with the altitude, it is important that you have been in Bogota for at least 3 days. The most important aspect of this hike is that we are going to hike on a special ecosystem. It only exists in tropical high mountains (above 3000 meters) in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru y Venezuela. It is called “Paramo”. (link al blog). Also, Paramo has special vegetation with unique species as the “frailejón”.

If the cancelation is requested with more than 5 days prior to the tour start date, we will charge an administrative fee of 20% plus any fee or advance payment charged by travel agencies, providers and financial intermediaries.
